I remember sledding in Duck Creek and Middle Park as a kid. It seemed like the cold never bothered us and we spent hours flying down the hills.

VisitQuadCities.com has put together a good list of QCA hills and I've added a few spots of my own. Pack up the kid, bundle up and strap the toboggan on the family truckster. Check out these sledding spots in your own backyard.

Here are a few spots I've had success with on my own.

Hollyhock Park, Jones Street, LeClaire, Iowa                                                                563-289-4242

Cross Point Church, 1330 Spruce Hills Drive. Bettendorf                                                563-322-8691(never hurts to call first)

Cross Point hill was the spot my German Shepherd would follow my girls down the hill and pick up their saucer in her teeth and bring it back up the hill for them. That was a good dog.

Make sure you have plenty of warm hats, gloves, scarves and boots. If you know of more sledding spots you'd like us to add to our list, email us at Tami@kiik1049.com
