The Golden Globe Noms Have Been Announced

The first award show of the year is always the Golden Globes. Members of the Hollywood Foreign Press Association choose their faves in movies and television. The Globes are also known for championing films and shows that perhaps the Academy of Motion Picture Sciences and the Emmy people overlook.

Cramming both movie and TV stars together in a small ballroom with free-flowing booze makes for a pretty interesting show too.

Nominations for the Golden Globes - to be awarded live on January 8 - were announced this morning.
