This Holiday Display Is Out Of This World
What does astronomy and Christmas have in common? You'll find out if you go to this local high school's extraterrestrial holiday display.
The planetarium at Bettendorf High School is hosting a free one-hour program called the "Christmas Star" - showing the skies over Bethlehem when Christ was born with an explanation in astronomy terms. The show has been digitally remastered, fitted to a new projection system that immerses the audience in a 360 experience.
The hour long show is free of charge but seating is limited. Call to reserve at 563-332-4516 between 8 am and 3 pm weekdays. The Star runs every night at 7 pm through December 22nd.
