Town Gets Label of “WORST Place In Wisconsin” and Residents Are Pissed

Everyone has an opinion and you know what they say about that, right?  But then again, small-town pride doesn't care about your opinion.

If you've ever wandered into a strange bar full of townies for the first time...you know what I mean.  You get the "you ain't from around here" glances thrown at you from what most likely are sweet old men once you get to know them.

If YouTube is a bar...the record scratched as this outsider just walked in and yelled at the locals "This is the worst place in Wisconsin".

Wait...Who Said This?

Nick Johnson is a YouTuber and owner of Homesnacks.com where he combines "data from dozens of sources into bite-sized articles to help you understand what it's like to live in different places across America."

Sometimes that means "Best Places for a Family" and other times it means "Best Cities For Singles".

He's got 100's of videos but the one called "10 Places in WISCONSIN You Should NEVER Move To" named Beloit as Wisconsin's number one worst place.

"About 37,000 people call Beloit 'home', but probably wish they didn't."

Did He Speak Out of School?

I'm from a small town, so I know what it's like to see an empty business district that used to be booming.  It's heartbreaking.

"It's economically depressed & trashed.  Lots of gun shots. Lots of drug use."

"They call it 'Betroit' for a reason"
