TV Streaming Service Giving Free Access
Sling TV has announced they're offering free service to anyone who wants it, and you don't have to create an account to get it.
The service, called "Stay in & SLING" includes thousands of movies and shows, as well as a few live channels and breaking news and live events via ABC News Live. There are plenty of free shows for kids included. Sling has done this in the past but the number of shows and movies has been much more limited in the past.
In a media release, Sling TV group president Warren Schlichting said,
To stay informed in these uncertain times, Americans need access to news from reputable sources. With many Americans finding themselves staying at home, we have an opportunity to use our platform to help them deal with this rapidly evolving situation.
You can access "Stay in & SLING" on the web with Chrome, Microsoft Edge, and Safari browsers, as well as via the Sling app on Amazon, Android, or Roku devices. You will see ads for paid Sling TV content while you're watching, but free is free.
