Walmart in Iowa is Hiring Over 2000 Jobs

During hard times like these when people have lost their jobs during the quarantine, there are businesses who are hiring.

According to KWWL, Walmart has announced they will be hiring over 2,000 employees in Iowa . Actually, they are hiring 150,000 new employees all the way through May and then their goal is to hire around 2,300 employees at stores, clubs, distribution and fulfillment centers in Iowa. This comes along with some other big news.

Walmart has also announced that they will be providing over $365 million in cash bonuses to all hourly associates employed as of March 1st and this will be payed by April 2nd. The company will be giving the next scheduled quarterly bonus, which adds up to $180 million across the nation, a month early.

It's a bit of good news to hear among all the uncertainty  happening now with the coronavirus. Being able to give back to the communities and workers, Walmart is taking a step to support it's workers.
