Less than two weeks into the New Year and here already comes the first Friday the 13th of 2017. Various news organizations have reported research that one in 20 of us is so superstitious that they will not leave the house that day. Others will observe various precautions such as avoiding black cats and making certain not to walk under a ladder.

Are you superstitious? If you are, would you be surprised to know that the origins of the Friday the 13th is bad luck story may have a biblical component? Also I was surprised to learn that those suffering from Friday the 13th phobia are experiencing paraskevidekatriaphobia.
