There's a winter storm warning in effect as you start your work week.

I know, we live in the Midwest. This is what the weather is SUPPOSED to do. It's just always better to know what's coming than to be caught off guard.

The US National Weather Service Quad Cities says a winter storm warning has been issued for the entire Quad City area Monday into Tuesday for heavy snow and a wintry mix which may cause significant impacts. We'll continue to monitor the forecast for any upcoming changes.
According to the NWS, your morning and afternoon commute on Monday and Tuesday could be hazardous with blowing and drifting snow and reduced visibilities. Snow will slowly spread north through the day, reaching Interstate 80 and the Cedar Rapids to Quad Cities metro areas between 2 and 4 PM Monday afternoon.
The Quad City area could get anywhere from 6"-10" inches of snow.
