Workers Injured In Rock Island Explosion

According to a report from our news partners at Local 4 News, three UPS workers were injured when a propane tank on a forklift exploded this morning.

The incident took place around 5:00 a.m. Thursday at the UPS depot on 31st Street in Rock Island, just south of Andalusia Road.

The forklifts were inside a semi-trailer which was destroyed by the explosion.

Two workers were treated on scene while a third was taken to hospital.
