A New Ice Cream Shop Is Open In LeClaire

There's a new place to get uniquely flavored ice cream in LeClaire. The new shop opened this month.

Here's the Scoop owners have opened a second location in LeClaire. The original location is in the Village of East Davenport. The new shop in LeClaire is a short walk from downtown at 204 Jones Street; right next to Casey's.

You'll find all homemade flavors of ice cream as well as malts, sundaes, shakes, ice-cream cakes, strawberry short cake and rhubarb crisp.  My daughter's favorite flavor cone is a tie between lavender honey and goat cheese with roasted cherries. Here's a link to their menu. They also have chocolate and vanilla too.

The new shop is open noon -10 pm, Wednesday through Sunday and the location has its own Facebook page.
