Clinton's Finally Friday at the River committee didn't get a chance to hold any of their events in 2020 because of the pandemic. All three Finally Friday events were canceled but in 2021, they are back baby! The first one of the summer is happening this Friday at the Riverview Band Shell on the riverfront in Clinton.

Last year, the committee that puts on the Finally Friday events in Clinton had to make the tough decision to cancel all three events in the summer of 2020. Those events were scheduled for June 5, July 3, and August 7.

While most concerts and events around the world were canceled in 2020 because of the pandemic, those same events are returning in 2021 including Clinton's Finally Friday events.

Normally, Finally Friday's in Clinton has three events every summer which lands on the first Fridays of June, July, and August, this year, there will only be two. The first Finally Friday event in Clinton is this Friday to kick off the long Fourth of July weekend.

This Friday at the Clinton Riverview Band Shell on the riverfront is Clinton is the first Finally Friday of the summer. Finally Friday starts at 6 p.m. and lasts until 9 p.m.

Admission is free but donations are strongly encouraged when you enter. Officials say that donations are greatly appreciated as those contributions allow the organization to continue to hosts Finally Friday events.

Food and beverages are available for purchase at each Finally Friday event. Coolers are not allowed as those wanting to consume alcoholic beverages will need to get a wristband.

This Finally Friday will feature The Tailfins on the Finally Friday stage. The Tailfins will take patrons back to the days of cruisin' cars, sock-hops, beach parties, and the best rock n' roll with their authentic show. Officials encouraged those attending to bring a lawn chair or blanket to enjoy to festivities.

The second and last Finally Friday event will be Friday,  August 6th, and will feature Phat Mike and the Bartenders.
