Cooler Temperatures Move into the Quad Cities This Week
I think most of us would agree. Temps in the 90s with heat indexes in the 100s isn't anyone's favorite midwest weather. We'll see a break from that this week.
Cooler temps are moving into the Quad Cities this week. You may have already felt the temp changes as you went to work and dropped the kids off at school today.
According to KWQC Meteorologist, Kevin Phelps a cold front that moved through our area on Sunday will provide cooler, less humid weather tonight through Monday. Temperatures will cool into the 50s north and 60s south tonight, then reach afternoon highs in the lower to mid 80s Monday.
We could see isolated thunderstorms in far southeast Iowa and west central Illinois Monday, but most areas will remain dry.
Other than a chance of storms mainly south of I-80 today and Tuesday, our weather will be turning seasonable and dry through mid-week.
The NWS in the Quad Cities says, temps will be much cooler this week with highs in the mid to low 80s each day. There will be a couple of rain chances with the first arriving on Tuesday and another round possible late Friday into Saturday. Severe weather does not look likely in our area this week either.
Maybe it's not quite time to break out the sweaters, but it seems fall like weather is starting to sneak in. Pumpkin spice latte fans, here's your time to rejoice.
