Craig’s List: 4 Things to Know – 3/9
It's almost the weekend. Today is Barbie's birthday. The doll was introduced on this date in 1959.
1 - The National Weather Service has determined that three tornadoes touched down in the Quad Cities on Monday night. Today won't be anywhere near as active. WQAD Meteorologist Eric Sorensen has our forecast details.
2 - The Bettendorf Bulldogs ran into foul trouble last night and that was the difference in their 61-53 loss in the Iowa State Tournament in Des Moines. Details and more scores when we do That Sports Thing at about 7:35am on The Morning KIIK Start.
3 - I'm not sure who thinks this is a good idea, but Illinois is considering legislation that would allow people under the age of 21 to drink as long as they are with their parents. This smells like a solution looking for a problem.
4 - We'll have a guest on the program this morning. Former Chicago Blackhawk star, and TV NBC commentator Jeremy Roenick will join us around 8:30am this morning. Roenick will be on hand for the Grand Opening Celebration at the new DICK’S Sporting Goods, Field & Stream and Golf Galaxy in Davenport (5511 Elmore Avenue) this Saturday March 11th, from 2-4pm.
Have a great Thursday.
