Davenport city officials made this announcement on Monday,

"After careful consideration of the health and safety of residents and City staff, along with uncertainty regarding future distancing guidelines, the City of Davenport Government has cancelled the 2020 Party in the Park events."

Many people were heartbroken to see the announcement. This event offered so much, in addition to free food, entertainment, and fun for the kids. It was an opportunity for neighbors to meet neighbors, visitors to learn about the neighborhoods surrounding the parks, and everyone to engage in face-to-face conversations with elected officials, representatives of civic organizations and staff from several city departments about concerns and opportunities facing the city.

It should also be noted that city officials say they plan to host an event to celebrate the "amazing parks when the time is right."

The parks original line up was,
