
Illinois Hooters Abruptly Closed This Year
A place like Hooters is iconic—or infamous—for many reasons; however, it is currently making headlines for the large number of closures across the United States. Many sources have gone as far as to call the large amount of closings aburbpt. Making the closings of this popular chain much more depressing.
There are still plenty of locations open across American. Sadly a decent amount of these spots are gone for good.
The Hooters Closures Happening Across America
As of now 12 states have had Hooters close. Cheapism went on to say,
The bankruptcy restructuring plans involve selling the existing company-owned Hooters locations (about 200 of them) to existing franchisees, including one run by an original Hooters founder.
The state with the most closures appears to be Florida, with six in total. Wisconsin, Michigan, and Missouri have also seen several closures. Many resturants have been dealing with clousers. It was also stated,
Restaurant chains seem like they’re dropping like flies lately. Earlier this year, Bar Louie suddenly closed locations after filing for bankruptcy, and Bahama Breeze just shut down a third of its restaurants.
