Craig’s List: 4 Things to Know – 3/13
Thanks a lot for the Spring tease, Mother Nature.
1 - Roads are extremely slick this morning after close to six inches of snow fell overnight. Snow will continue to fall until the Noon hour when it will taper off to flurries before a cold night settles in. WQAD Meteorologist Eric Sorensen has the forecast details here.
2 - According to our news partners at WQAD News 8, a number of schools are closed or have delayed starts today as a result of the weather. Click here for the list, which is being updated frequently through the morning.
3 - The Augustana Men's Basketball team was supposed to be in a rebuilding year, but don't tell the players that. The Vikings won another big game to get to the Final Four of the Division III Men's Basketball Tournament. Details when we do That Sports Thing at around 7:35am this morning on The Morning KIIK Start.
4 - Sad news over the weekend from the music world. Joni Sledge of the group Sister Sledge passed away at age 60. Joni sang lead vocals on the group's 1979 disco hit 'We Are Family.' More entertainment news when we do That Hollywood Thing at around 8:35am this morning on FM 104.9.
Take your time on the roads and have a good Monday.
