Icestravaganza Brings Ice, Art, and Winter Fun to Downtown Davenport.

Free Outdoor Event Runs January 16–18

Icestravaganza returns to Downtown Davenport January 16–18, 2026, bringing a weekend of winter fun to the Freight House. The free, family-friendly event is hosted by the Downtown Davenport Partnership (DDP) and presented by Luxtown.com.

The festival will feature ice sculptures, live carving demonstrations, and activities designed for all ages.

“This year’s 'This is Iowa' theme is a chance to celebrate the everyday things people across the state connect with,” said Alisha Espey, Senior Program & Events Director for DDP. “Our carvers take those familiar sparks of inspiration and turn them into something creative and surprising and we’re excited to watch that come to life in ice throughout the festival.”

What You’ll See

Visitors can walk along the Freight House boardwalk to view ice sculptures that will be lit up each evening. Skilled artists will carve ice live during scheduled demonstrations, turning large ice blocks into detailed artwork.

Activities and Warm-Ups

Families can enjoy outdoor games and activities throughout the weekend. Warming stations with free hot chocolate, provided by The Family Credit Union, will be available at select times. The Freight House Farmers Market will also be open indoors during the event.

Saturday Night Highlights

On Saturday evening, the After Glow Party will feature illuminated ice sculptures by artist Rob Storm, a specialty ice bar, and music from DJ Buddha inside a heated tent, sponsored by T-Fiber.
