Firefighters, Police Officers, EMTs: The Deckmate Dancers Need You for First Responder Night

The Quad City Steamwheelers' First Responder Night is coming up on Friday, July 11, and the Deckmate Dancers are inviting local first responders to join them for a special game day performance.

The best part? You're not going to be doing it alone.

First Responders Wanted For Special On-Field Dance

Eight first responders have already signed up to participate, but there's still room for more volunteers. Right now, the Deckmate Dancers are hoping to add more firefighters, police officers, EMTs, paramedics, dispatchers, and all first responders to the pre-game dance routine. (You know, the first dance before the game starts where the lights are off and the Deckmates are surrounded by police cars and spotlights. It's a vibe.)

And before you start thinking, "There's no way I can dance," here's the good news:

• The choreography is simple and easy to learn.
• No dance experience is needed.
• The goal isn't perfection; it's celebrating the incredible people who serve our community every day while having a little fun.

Think of it as one night where you can trade your boots, uniforms, or turnout gear for a few dance moves in front of a cheering hometown crowd.

When and Where Is This Happening?

It's all happening during First Responder Night of the Quad City Steamwheelers game, Saturday, July 11, at Vibrant Arena at the Mark in Moline, Illinois. It's a unique opportunity to represent your department while creating a memory fans won't forget. Kickoff is at 7:00 pm on Saturday, July 11, BUT the special dance is at 6:45 pm right before the game starts.
