Thankfully some businesses in Davenport are starting to re-open after being closed by flooding.

Here are some Davenport public organizations opening back up and some resources for getting help and donating to the cause according to the QC Times.

The Redstone ramp will re-open on Friday.

Davenport's parking ramps will remain free, and the two-hour on-street parking zones will not be enforced through 7 a.m. May 20.

The compost facility will re-open at 8 a.m. Saturday. The facility’s summer hours are 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Monday through Friday; and 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.

Compost products will be available for purchase in addition to yard waste drop-off. Access the facility from Rockingham Road/ Iowa 22 to Wapello Avenue to Railroad Avenue.

The River’s Edge will re-open to the public on Monday, May 13th.

The city will pick up, haul away and dispose of sandbags by request. To request sandbag hauling call (563) 326-7923, or submit a request online at https://yourgov.cartegraph.com/. Sandbags will need to be placed in a pile in the curb line and not obstruct traffic.
