Hometown Christmas Is Holiday Fun in LeClaire
After this year, we all NEED a little Christmas.
A Hometown Christmas is planned for the downtown LeClaire that starts with Shop Small Saturday, Nov. 28. If you snap a selfie any of the town's businesses and post it on social media using hashtags #visitleclaire and #leclaireshopsmall you could win $50 in Chamber Bucks. You can use bucks at any of the downtown LeClaire businesses.
There will also be plenty of holiday lights because by November 27, the whole town has been encouraged to enter the “LeClaire Holiday Lights” lighting/decorating contest sponsored by the LeClaire Chamber of Commerce to compete for more Chamber Buck prizes.
You can enter if you use this link to enter online. There you'll find a a map showing where all the great lights and decorations are, so you can enjoy a fun, family tour organized by LeClaire Parks & Rec. Commission.
On Sat., Dec. 6, 10am join the “Virtual” Ugly Christmas Sweater 5k. Use this link to sign up for the race & fun run. Usually the you'll find people walking throughout downtown with there ugly holiday sweaters. There will be live music at several of the downtown eateries and drinkeries.
