Who is ready for some fun in the sun?! I know I am! Pack your bags, let's head to Iowa's largest waterpark because this weekend, they are finally open for the season.

Welcome to Lost Island Waterpark. Lost Island is Iowa's largest waterpark and is full of rides, a lazy river, wave pool, and so much more. I've been to Lost Island the past 4 summers and every time I've gone, it's never disappointed.

Lost Island Waterpark is located in Waterloo, IA, and right next door to the Isle Casino and Hotel. It's a short 2 hour drive to Lost Island, and if you've never been, you need to go. They have 9 water slides, a lazy river, an area for little kids and a an area for your younger teens, a wave pool called Tsunami Bay, mini putt, go-karts, and mermaids. Real life mermaids!

If you think this sounds more like a thing for your kids to enjoy, think again. Lost Island serves cold beer and adult summer beach drinks you can take throughout the park (except in the water and on the rides). Their water slides and rides will give any adult a thrill of a life time. Like the Molokini Crater, that will make you scream as you go down.

Or what about a water rollercoaster ride?!

Kids or no kids, Lost Island Waterpark is fun for everyone. And it's pretty affordable too. Tickets are only $32 online, but ticket prices differ between adults and children, depending on height and if you pay at the door or not. On top of it too, parking and tube rentals are FREE.

Just like anything, Lost Island has new policy changes in response to the coronavirus pandemic. You can see their policy changes by clicking here and visiting their website.

If water isn't your thing, the owners and founders of Lost Island Waterpark broke ground last year in August on a new theme park. The new Iowa theme park will be right across the street from the waterpark. The new theme park will be appropriately named Lost Island Theme Park. That theme park is set to open for the summer of 2022.

You can find more information, ticket prices, amenities, and more by visiting Lost Island's website.
