This QCA Italian Restaurant Will Close At The End Of The Month
A QCA pasta hub will be closing its doors at the end of September.
Prairie Street Pasta in Galesburg announced on Facebook that it will close its doors permanently on September 30th.
There wasn't an exact reason given in the Facebook post for the closure but they did say that they will be "moving on to other life pursuits".
The Italian restaurant has been in business for about a year and a half. Besides many different kinds of pasta, they also serve entrees like Chicken Modiga, Chicken Parmesan, and Meatball Parmesan. Their menu has several appetizers like Toasted Ravioli, Fried Portobello Mushrooms, Fried Artichoke Hearts, and Prairie Street Meatballs. They also have an array of sandwiches, as well as a bulk menu and a lunch menu that features soups and salads.
This is their space:
There's no word yet on what that space might become. If you're planning a visit before they close, you can find Prairie Street Pasta on at 51 N. Prairie St. in Galesburg. They are closed Sunday, Monday & Tuesday but on Wednesday & Thursday they are open 11:00 a.m.-3:00 p.m. and on Friday they will be open 11:00 a.m.-8:00 p.m.
Prairie Street Pasta opened in February 2021. According to the Galesburg Register-Mail, the building that Prairie Street Pasta is in used to be Charred 51. Before their move to Galesburg, the owners (Renae and Daniel Earnhart) ran an Italian restaurant on the Illinois side of the St. Louis area.
