One of the silver linings of the COVID-19 pandemic is that many big-box stores, chains, and franchised businesses have done the right thing and have been closing their doors on two of the biggest holidays celebrated in America (Thanksgiving and Christmas) to let employees celebrate those holidays with their families. This week, Kohl's announced really early this year that it will once again be closed on turkey day and that's cool with us.

Kohl's Release Was Way Too Nice

On Tuesday, Kohl’s announced that all of its stores will once again be closed on Thanksgiving Day, Thursday, November 24, 2022, and it should be.

The press release said that last year, Kohl's stores served millions of customers both in-store and online throughout Black Friday week, and they look forward to delivering that same experience to customers again this year, just not in-store on Thanksgiving day.

The press release continued by saying,

"Customers looking to shop at Kohl’s on Thanksgiving Day will be able to shop on Kohls.com and in the Kohl’s App."

Yeah, that's way too nice. I know it's a corporate press release but let us tell you what you really need to hear...

What we want to tell you is to enjoy your time with your friends, family, or even yourself and let these people have Thanksgiving day off. Whether you or the employees of any of these stores celebrate the holiday or not, it is still a well-deserved day off.

You can spend money online or, here's an idea, GET OFF YOUR PHONE AND ENJOY THE DAY. You can wait until Friday to go back out and keep shopping at cheap prices.
