It is May 4th.  National Star Wars Day.  The day us Star Wars nerds say "May The 4th Be With You".  If you don't get that joke, you probably haven't even clicked on this story cause you aren't a Star Wars fan.

Today we celebrate our fandom in quarantine.  Which of course stinks...but also gives us the opportunity to binge watch ALL of them.  Yeah, all 23 hours and 57 minutes of every Star Wars movie.  If you don't have all day to watch them, you can still watch your favorite.

Here is my list of all 11 Star Wars movies from ugh to awesome.

Number 11 - Solo: A Star Wars Story.
Disney's second attempt at a Star Wars movie that wasn't a part of a trilogy.  They should have just stuck with the first one.  If this movie didn't have Woody Harrelson to save it...well it can't get any worse than the bottom of the list so I guess even he couldn't save it.

Number 10 - Star Wars: The Last Jedi
The trailer was so good.  I was so excited.  Then I went to the theater and was so disappointed.  I think the build up led to the disappointment but again, the trailer was so good.  Don't get me wrong, it's still good, but it could have been so much better.  Highlight, Mark Hamill.  This was his absolute best performance in the series.  Lowlight, Princess Leia flying in space.  A two hour long slow speed chase.  And of course every moment of Finn riding those horse creatures.  I could write a lot more on Snook and Captain Phasma but then I'll just go down total nerd road.

Number 9 - Star Wars: Episode 1 - The Phantom Menace
Lot of arguments could be made this should be 10...or even 11 on the list.  I get it.  Jar Jar, the Gungens and young Anakin were annoying.  But the visuals (especially for 1999) were amazing and Liam Neeson and Ewan McGregor were fantastic.  Plus I think being the first new Star Wars in 16 years made it just a little more special to bump it to number 9.

Number 8 - Star Wars: Episode 2 - Attack Of The Clones
Some of the love story between Anakin and Padme were rough.  But I get it.  They needed to set that up for his final change.  The movie had solid action the introduction of a bounty hunter and Samuel L. Jackson.

Number 7 - Star Wars:  The Rise of Skywalker
Had a hard time choosing between this and Force Awakens for this spot but decided since Han Solo was in Force Awakens it pushes it over this one.  Yes, I realize he was in this one too...but really...SMH.

Number 6 - Star Wars: The Force Awakens
J.J. Abrams brought the franchise back and gave it a raw and real feeling not seen before in Star Wars.  Plus, as mentioned above, Harrison Ford as Han Solo makes any movie better.  And Harrison finally got what he wanted in Episode V.  In a disturbing, but yet fitting, way.

Number 5 - Star Wars: Episode VI - The Return Of The Jedi
Let's be clear, everything in the top 5 is fantastic.  You could rearrange these and make a good argument as to why.  But I put this one at 5...basically cause something has to go at number 5.

Number 4 - Star Wars: Episode III - Revenge Of The Sith
Watching Anakin turn and the battle between him and Obi-Wan made me want to watch the Episode IV right after.  Although, poor Mace Windu.  You knew he wasn't going to make it out of the movie without some kind of awesome death scene.

Number 3 - The Empire Strikes Back
I know, a lot of fans put this at top of the mountain for Star Wars.  I'll explain my top two choices next. Empire is great.  One of the most iconic moments in movie history comes from this movie.  Plus a line from Han Solo every guy should use once in their life, "I know".

Number 2 - Rouge One:  A Star Wars Story
As I mentioned in our number 11 movie, Disney should have stopped making their non trilogy movies after their first one.  Cause it's one of the best Star War movies made.  "Episode 3 1/2" didn't have any characters we knew and loved.  But by the end of the movie we knew and loved them.  And let's talk about the end of the movie.  Vader just destroying everything in site followed by Carrie Fisher saying "hope"...chills.

Number 1 - Star Wars:  Episode IV - A New Hope
What can I say.  The original is still the best.  It has all the elements you want in a movie.  An underdog hero taking down a powerful villain.  Comedy, action, droids.  Iconic moments, lines and scenes that will never be replicated.  Even if we get another trilogy...which you know we will.  Disney paid a lot of money for the rights so they are going to pump out more.

Oh hey.  If you are still with me, here is one hour of Finn yelling "Rey".  He was the worst character in the entire franchise.
