Our nation’s animal shelters are in crisis due to increased owner surrenders and stray intakes, spiking post-pandemic euthanasia rates across the country. Now is the perfect time to adopt.

We here at US 104.9 have teamed up with UScellular and the Humane Society of Scott County to bring you the pet of the week! We spotlight a different pet looking for a forever home every week. Today we are meeting a dog who has been looking for a family for a while now. Another awesome thing about this event is that UScellular is donating $50 each week to the Humane Society for our pet of the week.

Meet our 104.9 pet of the week Starburst!

Starburst is about 2-3 years old and 45 lbs. She is the BIGGEST cuddle bug and loves to spend time with her favorite people. She would love a home where she can curl up on the couch with you and get belly rubs. We think she has the potential to do well with other pets and we think she would likely enjoy the company of another dog too!

She can be a little nervous meeting new people, but once she warms up, she will be your new best friend! If you're looking for someone who is just as much of a homebody as you are, this is your girl! She's the type of girl who will never say no to binging a new Netflix series!

Stop by and ask to meet Starburst during our adoption hours: Mondays, Wednesdays, & Fridays 12 p.m.- 6 p.m., or Saturdays & Sundays 12 p.m.-5 p.m.
