Now is the perfect time to adopt a cat. We here at US 104.9 have teamed up with UScellular and the Humane Society of Scott County to bring you the pet of the week! We put a spotlight on a different pet looking for a forever home every week.

Another awesome thing about this event is that UScellular is donating $50 each week to the Humane Society for our pet of the week.

Meet our 104.9 pet of the week Barley!

This sweet girl has been at the Humane Society of Scott County since January and we cannot believe she hasn't been adopted. She loves people and is always ready for some pets. Her favorite places to get pets are on her head and at the base of her tail... she loves some good butt scratches!

Barley is only about 2 years old, so she's still a very spunky girl, but she sure is the queen of naps as well. She is a little nervous around other cats at first, so we would recommend a slow introduction to other pets to ease her fears.

Barley's kennel is right by the window, so being able to nap by the sunshine as well as watch the birds fly by is her favorite thing to do. So if you've got a spare window Barley can perch on, you need to stop by to meet her!

You can stop by to meet Barley and the rest of our adoptable pets on Mondays, Wednesdays, & Fridays 12 pm-6 pm and Saturdays & Sundays 12 pm-5 pm. And be sure not to wait because all adult dog and cat adoption fees are only $25 through the end of July!
