Meet Our US 104.9 Pet Of The Week

Are you looking for a new pet in your life? It's time to get a dog! We here at US 104.9 have teamed up with UScellular and the Humane Society of Scott County to bring you the pet of the week! We put a spotlight on a different pet looking for a forever home every week.

Another awesome thing about this event is that UScellular is donating $50 each week to the Humane Society for our pet of the week.

Meet our 104.9 pet of the week Huck!

Huck is one of our biggest dogs available for adoption weighing in just over 100lbs at almost 3 years old! So, if you like your dogs in the size of XL, then this is your boy! Huck came in with his brother Spock, but Spock has since been adopted and Huck is waiting for his turn.

Huck loves to hang out outside, as that's where he spent the majority of his life growing up but also doesn't mind a comfy couch when he gets the chance. He enjoys spending time with our staff out in our play yard, and while he likes to prance around a bit, he always finds his underneath the tree to lay down and relax.

Huck is a huge fan of some yummy chew treats like bully sticks and chicken feet! While he's not a fan of other pets, we do think he would thrive in a home where he can chill out with his favorite person nearby.

If you're looking for a big boy who's looking for a simple life, stop by to meet Huck during our adoption hours Mondays, Wednesdays, & Fridays 12 pm - 6 pm, or Saturdays & Sundays 12 pm-5 pm. Due to our shelter being over our max capacity, we are waiving all adult dog and cat adoption fees through Monday, August 8th, so stop by ASAP to meet Huck and the rest of our adoptable pets!
