Meet Our US 104.9 Pet Of The Week

Are you looking for a new pet in your life? It's time to get a dog! We here at US 104.9 have teamed up with UScellular and the Humane Society of Scott County to bring you the pet of the week! We put a spotlight on a different pet looking for a forever home every week. Today we are meeting a dog who has been looking for a family for a while now.

Another awesome thing about this event is that UScellular is donating $50 each week to the Humane Society for our pet of the week.

Meet our 104.9 pet of the week Grimace

Grimace is a sweet boy who has been with us since January. He's roughly 3 years old and is a big boy at roughly 80 lbs. But the bigger the dog, the bigger the heart, or that's at least what we like to say. He's a pretty easygoing guy, but don't get us wrong, he LOVES going for walks. Getting out for his daily walks with volunteers is by far his favorite activity of the day. Just short of chewing on his favorite treats!

Oh, and the key to this guy's heart... besides treats, of course, are butt scratches! Once Grimace realizes you'll give him treats and butt scratches, he will fall in love instantaneously!

We think Grimace would do well in a moderately active home. No need for intense exercising, but he would enjoy walks and running around in your yard! We also think Grimace has the potential to do well with other dogs and cats too with a proper introduction.

If you're looking for a beautiful big boy, stop by and ask to meet Grimace during our adoption hours: Mondays, Wednesdays, & Fridays 12 pm-6 pm or Saturdays & Sundays 12 pm-5 pm.

P.S. Mark your calendars for Saturday, September 16th because we are hosting our biggest event of the year Dogs Day Out with activities for you and your pup to enjoy! It will be from 10 am-2 pm in Centennial Park in Davenport!
