The Country Inn and Suites by Radisson, a half a mile from the Quad City International Airport, has just completed a nearly $1 Million dollar makeover. What does that kind of makeover get a hotel built in 1999?  John Shah, co-owner and manager of the hotel told the Quad City Times a practically brand new hotel.

Guests will enjoy newly painted walls, new beds, new chairs, new sofas, a new lobby, and new office space. Each re-done guest room includes a 32 inch flat screen television, a cherry wood desk, dressers, a microwave and mini fridge. There's also a new exercise room with equipment.

I've done a fair amount of traveling over the past couple of years, and there's something special about staying at a hotel that's almost brand new or newly remodeled. There's just an extra clean feeling you can't find from staying at an older property. Shah tells the newspaper one of the other selling points of staying at The Country Inn and Suites by Radisson by the airport are the rates. Nightly rates are fifteen percent cheaper than other hotels in the airport area.
