NWS Warns Iowa and Illinois Should Prepare For Snow-Covered Roads Thursday
Winter is not over just yet! Though the midwest has been seeing some warmer temperatures lately, that was just mother nature teasing us, trying to get us excited for spring.
These next few days expect below-freezing temperatures and light snowfall.
This Thursday, light snow is expected to start falling in northeast Missouri by morning and spread to Iowa and Illinois during the afternoon.
Drive with caution on your evening commutes to and from work, as the roads will be slow due to snow-covered roads and low visibility in the falling snow.
By Friday morning, expect widespread snowfall totals of 1 to 3 inches.
After the weekend, temperature highs start to go up, ranging in the 40 and 50-degree zone, melting away whatever snow we do get.
Don't let the cold coming temperatures get you down, spring is coming and will be here in just 25 days!
