Dog Days and Yoga On Ice — Quad City Storm Hockey Olympic Night
The Quad City Storm is preparing to transform the ice into a winter sports festival this Sunday, January 4. Taking place at the Vibrant Arena in Moline, the afternoon will feature professional hockey paired with interactive events designed to celebrate the upcoming Winter Games.
Game Day Schedule and Matchup
The puck is scheduled to drop at 2:10 PM as the Storm faces off against the Evansville Thunderbolts. For fans looking to get settled early, the arena doors will open roughly 55 minutes before the game begins, at approximately 1:15 PM. Tickets for the event are currently available starting at $18.
Interactive Events for Fans and Pets
This weekend’s "Olympic Night" offers more than just standard hockey. The team has organized several unique activities for attendees:
Canine Competitions: As part of a Pucks n' Paws Sunday, fans can bring their dogs to the game. The "Dog Olympics" will include specific events for pets, such as a 50-meter dash for small breeds and a speed-eating challenge. Owners must provide proof of current rabies vaccinations for their dogs to enter the building.
Postgame On-Ice Yoga: Once the hockey game concludes, the arena will host a "Frozen Yoga" session on the ice. This activity is free for all ticket holders, though participants must bring their own yoga mats as none will be supplied by the venue.
Fitness Challenges: Throughout the afternoon, the concourse and ice will feature various physical contests and challenges inspired by winter sports.
Important Venue Policies
Those planning to attend should be aware of specific security protocols at the Vibrant Arena. The facility enforces a strict no-bag policy to ensure a smooth entry process. Only very small clutch purses, measuring no larger than 5x7x2 inches, are permitted inside.
Exceptions are made for medical supplies and diaper bags, provided a child is present. Other prohibited items include outside food, beverages, and noisemakers. Fans are encouraged to travel light to avoid having to return items to their vehicles.
