Pro Hockey Will Be Back in the Quad Cities This Fall
It's been a bumpy road at times, but pro hockey has been around in the Quad Cities for 23 years, and will be back for another this fall.
According to a report from our news partners at Local 4 News, John Dawson and Ryan Mosley have partnered to bring a new Southern Professional Hockey League franchise to the Quad Cities to begin play in the fall.
The team will replace the ECHL Mallards who folded at the end of their season last month.
A season ticket drive is already underway, and a name-the-team contest will be held as well since the ECHL retains the rights to the Mallards name.
My Craig's Question today is 'what would you like the new SPHL team to be named?' Let me know here on the KIIK 104.9 Facebook page.
