QC Pride Parade Set For September 11
Another event that was postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic is returning to the Quad Cities. The QC Pride Parade and is coming up next weekend and other rescheduled Pride events are happening leading up to the parade.
Officials from QC PRIDE announced via social media on Tuesday that the QC Pride Parade has a new date after originally being scheduled in June, which is traditionally recognized as LGBTQ+ Pride Month. The QC Pride Parade is will now be happening on Saturday, September 11th according to officials.
The parade will start at Iowa and 2nd St. in downtown Davenport and end at Western Avenue. The start time for the parade is 11 a.m. Those wanting to watch should gather on 2nd St. along the parade route. Spectators are also invited to join the parade along the route when the last float passes by them.

There are other events leading up to the parade on Saturday, September 11. Those events include a movie on Tuesday, September 7. The movie will start at 7 p.m. and be held at the Figge Art Museum.
Family Skate Night will be held the following night on Wednesday, September 8 from 5-9 p.m. at the Eldridge Community Center and Skatepark.
Officials say that with COVID-19 still a public health concern, attendees at all events are strongly encouraged to wear masks and social distance as much as possible.
