We've just learned of a new event coming to the Quad Cities and it sounds like a great way to spend a September day.

The Quad Cities Taco & Margarita Festival will be at the TaxSlayer Center in Moline on September 10 (which is a Saturday). It will kick off at noon and wrap up at 6:00 p.m.

Tickets will go on sale this week, and you can get them at this link. Kids 12 and under get in free.

Tickets are $15 in advance and $20 on the day of the event. VIP tickets cost $49 and include a t-shirt and two margaritas.

On the day of the event, doors will open at 11:00 a.m. for VIP ticket holders, and general admission will be let in at noon.

As of now, there are not many details released about it yet, like what restaurants, cooks, or bars will be participating in the festival, menus, or any other specifics. But we do know that the suggestion of tacos and margs sounds like a recipe for a yummy weekend for sure.

You can get your tickets from TaxSlayer Center online or you can stop by their box office in Moline, which is open Monday through Friday 10:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m. and on Saturdays 10:00 a.m.-2:00 p.m. On the day of the event, the box office will open up at 10:00 a.m.

There are no bags allowed except for wallets and clutch-size purses. The TaxSlayer Center concession stands don't accept cash and you'll have to walk through a stand-alone metal detector.
