Quad Cities Self Defense Classes Offered to Women
Learn how to keep yourself and your daughters safe with self defense classes offered in Bettendorf. There are three different classes for nearly every age range. Even if you've taken a class before, the information serves as a great reminder and good refresher.
The Life Fitness Center, Bettendorf, will offer women college-bound self-defense class 1:30-4:30 Friday, Aug. 11.
Basic forms of self-defense and reinforce techniques will be taught. Participants will learn how to extend personal security concepts in their vehicle, internet, home and/or college dorm. The class is open to 16-20-year-olds. Cost is $45. Find out how to register here.
Women over 21 can attend class at 9:00 -noon on Saturday, Aug. 19. Cost is $40. Register here.
Participants can learn to recognize and assess risk levels, learn strategies to escape a dangerous situation safely, use simple and effective techniques to defend oneself and role play to help reinforce muscle memory and the effects of stress on decision making during a life-threatening situation.
A Princess Power course is also offered for young women aged 9-12 on Aug. 12 from 12:30-2:00.
Students will be taught how to avoid conflict, protect personal information on social media, date safely and how to used physical defense as a last resort. for more information contact The Life Fitness Center in Bettendorf.
