The Quad Cities is in the target zone for strong storms this afternoon that could produce large hail, strong winds, and the possibility of tornados.

The window for severe weather is between 3pm and 9pm today, right in the middle of the drive home. Stay aware for any warnings of watches issued in the region, and be prepared to take shelter if necessary.

Our friend Jonathan Ketz from WQAD News 8 can attest to the dangers of severe weather, and the seriousness of taking shelter when the sirens sound. His home was hit by a tornado in 2003.
