The Most Popular Halloween Candy By Generation
A new survey from Shaw Academy figured out the most popular Halloween candy for every generation.
If you're constantly thinking "You know, the thing I hate about millennials-," or "What I can't stand about Gen X-"
Reese's Peanut Butter Cups are universally loved, by most people in this country except for a few who are wrong; the State of Illinois, and Baby Boomers. It's not even a matter of saying "Well, when they grew up they didn't have Reese's." Nope, they came out in 1928.
The Baby Boomers love Snickers, which is weird because soon here, they won't be able to chew them since the peanuts and caramel are going to be rough on the dentures.
Here's the full break down:
Generation Z:
- Reese's
- Snickers
- Kit Kat
- Twix
- Hershey's
Millennials:
- Reese's
- Snickers
- Kit Kat
- Candy Corn (WHY?!?)
- Twix
Gen X:
- Reese's
- Snickers
- Kit Kat
- Milky Way
- Almond Joy
Boomers:
- Snickers
- Reese's
- Milky Way
- Caramel Apple Lollipops
- Tootsie Rolls
Either some ad campaigns changed significantly over the years, or people realized there's better better candy than Tootsie Rolls, Caramel Apple Lollipops, and Candy Corn.
