The Perfect Labor Day Getaway is Only 4 Hours from the Quad Cities

If you're looking to get away for Labor Day, or still haven't managed to take a summer vacation, here's a great place to go that's only a four-hour drive from the Quad Cities.

Hop on I-80 E, I -94 E and I 96 N and you're in western Michigan in just a few hours. There is a one hour time difference when you cross into the eastern time zone.

I travel to Michigan often since my daughter and her family live there, but this time I by-passed the family vacation and explored parts of western Michigan for a week. The trip started in Saugatuck at a bed and breakfast right on the water. We loved swimming and boat rides in Lake Michigan, we hiked, rode dune buggies, and enjoyed the wonderful food and beverages Michigan had to offer.
