The Sun Will Come Out Tomorrow As Annie Debuts
I remember seeing my first theatrical production of Annie when I was a child. I remember how I wanted to be so confident and positive as she. I'm excited to relive those feelings as the Quad City Music Guild presents, Annie Wednesday, Nov. 29.
With equal measures of pluck and positivity, little orphan Annie seems to charm everyone’s hearts despite a next-to-nothing start in 1930's New York City. She is determined to find the parents who abandoned her years ago on the doorstep of a New York City orphanage that is run by the cruel, embittered Miss Hannigan played by Julie Funk. With the help of the other girls in the orphanage, Annie escapes to the wondrous world of NYC for adventure after fun-filled adventure!
The Quad City Music Guild is the place to be to experience great local theatrical talent. I'm excited to see my former college instructor, Mark McGinn as Daddy Warbucks, Emily Winn as Annie and my friend Molly Schneider as one of the Boylan Sisters. It should be a great show.
The theatre is located at Prospect Park, 1584 34th Ave., Moline.
Show dates and times: Wed. Nov 29 thru Fri. Dec 1 at 7:30 pm, Sat. Dec 2 with two shows, 2 pm and 7:30 pm. Tickets are available at 309-762-6610 or online at qcmusicguild.com.
