For those who hate snow...all and all it hasn't been bad this winter.  Now, if you're wanting to get out & ride the snowmobile you've been ticked off up until last weekend. And judging by the upcoming forecast you may need to find a new temporary winter hobby.

The US National Weather Service Quad Cities Iowa/Illinois says we could see temps in the 30's this weekend and some next week too.

The winter months can be long and the temperatures can be cold, but fortunately, there are plenty of fun outdoor activities to do in the winter if you know where to look. Whether you’re looking to enjoy the outdoors or get an adrenaline rush, there are plenty fun outdoor activities to do in the winter.

Whatever your choice, remember that activities on snow need proper attire . Dress warmly before going out for a day of fun. Try layering loose clothing and a scarf that covers your mouth and nose when outside for an extended period of time.

If you can’t afford to go skiing, then build an ice rink at home. It’s a cheaper alternative that allows you and your family or friends to skate around on your driveway or backyard. Once it gets too cold outside, head inside and work on some figure skating moves. This is a great way for beginners to learn how to skate better. As they improve their skills, you can even put together a little ice show with your family members and friends!
