I'm always the unlucky one when it comes to spotting celebrities passing through town, like when Ed Sheeran made a stop in Rockford in 2015.

Now I find out that Will Ferrell was just a few hours away in Pekin and Peoria, Illinois all day and nobody decided to tell me?!

Why Was Will Ferrell In Pekin, Illinois?

We're all wondering the same thing. Ferrell was in Pekin filming a new documentary!

Facebook user, Dawn G., said,

"From what I’m seeing on Facebook it’s a documentary with his college friend who is from pekin."

Will Ferrell made a stop at Maquet's Rail House in Pekin and fans are angry they weren't invited to the Catalina Wine Mixer lol.

Another Facebook user posted a video of Will Ferrell walking around Maquet's.

Everybody was starstruck to see him - I would've been, no doubt!

After his trip to Maquet's, Ferrell made his way to The Basket Case Pub in Peoria, Illinois to sing his heart out with friends.

The Basket Case Pub posted to Facebook a photo of a fan with Ferrell confirming he was, in fact, at their establishment.

Nobody has yet to say what he sang, but I hope it was 'Boats 'N Hoes'.
