Blues Fest is a great Quad Cities tradition.  But unfortunately, we have to wait until September 16th and 17th to sit in LeClaire Park in Davenport and enjoy incredible blues music.
So, instead, let's enjoy incredible blues music in Port Byron THIS weekend, shall we?
Baby Blues Fest 2022 will be held on Main Street in Port Byron, Illinois on June 25, 2022 from 12:00 PM until 6:00 PM.  Here's the lineup:
  • Noon: My Friends and Me
  • 2PM: Donna Herula Group
  • 4PM: Avey Grouws Band
There will be drink and food Specials will be featured by all downtown restaurants!  This is an all-ages family-friendly event.
There's a great connection between the two blues events.  Your headliner for this weekend's Baby Blues Fest is performing at the Mississippi Valley Blues Fest, Avey Grouws Band!

30 Photos of the Quad City Sunrise

What makes the sunrise so colorful?
According to WeAreGreenBay.com, "At sunrise and sunset, the sun has to pass through more of the atmosphere than when it is directly overhead during the middle of the day, thus more scattering of molecules occurs. The longer distance of travel through the atmosphere causes more of the blue-colored wavelengths to be scattered before reaching our eyes."

So in a shorter answer... Science.
