Changes Coming to I-74 Grant Street Off-ramp Next Week

By now we should be used to construction detours and delays associated with the construction of the new I-74 bridge. The next one is gonna be a little messy.

In a press release, IDOT announced that on Wednesday, May 2, the Grant Street off-ramp into downtown Bettendorf from Iowa-bound I-74 will be reduced to a single lane. The ramp will remain this way until the new westbound I-74 is completed.

The change to the off-ramp is sure to cause some backups onto the existing I-74 bridge.

I just keep telling myself that soon it will all be over, and we'll have a big, shiny new bridge that will never have a backup. Right?
