Cold Weather Suspends Mail Service in Iowa and Western Illinois
Mail service in Iowa and Western Illinois has been cancelled due to extremely cold conditions tomorrow, Wednesday January 30. This according to our news share partner Local 4 News and Ourquadcities.com.
Here is the full release from the United States Postal Service:
"Due to projected deteriorating weather conditions related to Polar Vortex Jayden, postal delivery operations will be suspended for the following areas:
Minnesota
Western Wisconsin
Iowa
Western IllinoisRetail operations at local offices will be available, but may be limited.
There will be no collection mail pick up from businesses or collection boxes. Additionally, there will be no residential or commercial package pick-up services."
