It's been well over twelve years since six-time Grammy nominee Kenny Chesney last set foot in Moline for a concert. Which makes it fitting that he marks his return to the Quad Cities with a stop on his 'I Go Back Tour'.

The Tennessee native planned this special tour with the intention to perform shows for fans who might not be able to make stadium shows, and that live a little "off the obvious path."

All of the stops on the 21-date tour, were at places and in markets that launched the singer to where he is right now.

That's why 'I Go Back' was the perfect name for the tour.

“And that’s when it hit me: ‘I Go Back.’ That song is about holding all those things that shaped you very close, recognizing how special they are – and keeping them alive any way you can. So, I decided that rather than just go repeat what we did, I wanted to take this band and these songs to a lot of the cities we played on our way up! Let’s call the tour I Go Back – and do just that,” Chesney said on his website.

On Thursday, May 4th, Chesney brought his crew to the Vibrant Arena at the MARK for an unforgettable show full of energy that everyone could get along at.

The leader of "No Shoes Nation" brought fellow Knoxville native Kelsea Ballerini with him on this tour. Towards the end of his show, he welcomed the country songstress back on stage to perform a few songs together.

Not only did they perform a few classic Chesney tunes, but they obviously also sang their duet 'half of my hometown.'

This song won two Country Music Association Awards in 2021.

One of the biggest highlights of the show throughout the night, were the last minute additions to the setlist. Chesney even said that some of these songs weren't even confirmed to be played during the show until a few minutes before they started strumming those first few chords.

In honor of the show being in Moline, and the city's centuries long relationship with John Deere manufacturers, both Ballerini and Chesney cranked up the volume and sang inarguably one of the most iconic country songs of all time 'She Thinks My Tractor's Sexy.'

Both artists confirmed that the song is not normally on the setlist for this tour, but they had to bring it out for the Illinois/Iowa audience. They have not performed it AT ALL during this tour.

"I think this was the third song tonight that we're gonna do that wasn't on the setlist," Chesney explained to the crowd. "

"I didn't realize that this is where John Deere was created..."

You can watch a clip of both country stars performing the song down below!

John Deere built his plow factory in Moline, Illinois there in 1848, according to reports.
