Freedom Run Shows Support to Vets and Active Service Members
Give back to our Quad Cities active duty military personnel and Veterans and have fun by running in, or cheering the runners on, in the Freedom Run 5K. Thursday August 2 in East Moline. All the money raised by the Freedom Run 5K is donated to The Association of the United States Army and the USO Emergency Relief Grant Programs.
There's a variety of races open to runners of all ages and skill levels. There is the 5K Run / Walk, Double Time Loop, Frontline Mile and even the kid friendly Ground Pounder Fun Run. You can learn more about these races here. Registration varies from $35 - $22 depending on what race you'd like to participate in. You can even register to be a ghost runner to help support the troops for $20. You can register for the races here.
The Freedom Run 5K takes place in East Moline and will start in finish on the 700 block of 15th Avenue. Races start at 5:45PM CT.
