Student Hunger Drive Marks 40 Years Of Feeding The Quad Cities
You can help feed families around the Quad Cities and help your favorite school be the top school in the River Bend Food Bank Student Hunger Drive.
This year marks the 40th anniversary of the Student Hunger Drive in the Quad Cities. Since 1986, it has brought together thousands of students throughout the region to spend six weeks working to end hunger. Over the past four decades, these students have raised food and funds that have provided 21 million meals to the 1 in 7 people who experience hunger in our local communities.
This year, 15 area schools are participating in the Student Hunger Drive.
- Alleman High School
- Assumption High School
- Bettendorf High School
- Davenport Central High School
- Davenport North High School
- Davenport West
- Mid City High School
- Moline High School
- Morning Star Academy
- North Scott High School
- Orion High School
- Pleasant Valley High School
- Rivermont Collegiate
- Rock Island High School
- United Township High School
You can donate to the Student Hunger Drive on behalf of your favorite school right here. Or, if you see some students out and about collecting food and donations, just help them out right there by giving some money or groceries.
Between now and November 4th, students promote the Student Hunger Drive and collect food and funds for their school.
At the end of the competition, each school brings its collected food and funds to River Bend Food Bank, and awards are given to schools that raise the most support in their division (based on student population).
