Attention Trick-or-Treater in Rock Island! Get ready to get spooked and get candy during 'Fright Night' coming your way on October 22nd at Sunset Park.

On Thursday, Rock Island Parks and Recreation officials announced a safe and fun event for those looking for Halloween fun. On Thursday, October 22, the Rock Island Parks and Recreation department is putting on 'Fright Night' at Sunset Park.

'Fright Night' kicks off at 5 p.m. that evening. Those wanting to drive-thru during 'Fright Night' are asked by officials to enter Sunset Park on 18th Avenue and stay in your car as you travel through. While traveling through the park, kids can trick-or-treat while in the care and see all the ghost and goblins from local organizations.

According to KWQC, there are over 30 local organizations helping put on this event. The first 500 kids that enter 'Fright Night' will receive a goodie bag. 'Fright Night' on October 22 is made possible by the help of the following contributors:

  • Goodwill of the Heartland
  • McManus Orthodontics
  • Langman Construction Inc
  • Erickson Plumbing & Heating
  • Sign Gypsies Illinois QC
  • Icon’s
  • Daiquiri Factory
  • Smoking Dog
  • Costco
  • Rock Island Animal Hospital
  • Community Health Care
