The Great Cycle Challenge started in 2015 and has grown to become one of the biggest cycling events in the United States.

In 5 years, people biking across all 50 states have logged 18,831,310 miles and have raised $24,615,507 in support of research to develop better treatments and find a cure for childhood cancer.

The GCC normally takes place in the spring.  However, due to the Coronavirus it was pushed back to September.  The way to get involved is very simple.  Riders set a personal ride target goal to pedal and log miles throughout the month.  Don't want to pedal.  That is fine.  You can support anybody with donations in support of their ride.

Check out how individuals, states, teams and more all stack up against each other in the leader board.  Illinois is currently number 3 in the country with Iowa at 25.

Want to support somebody from the Quad Cities, support Eric!

Eric tells us "In 2018 I set out to improve my health and change my life. I started walking, eating healthy, swimming and eventually riding my bike once I had lost enough weight.  I will succeed because I am willing to do what it takes. I promise, I will put in the work and be careful- NO injuries! This is the first time I have ridden for a charity.  Please support my challenge by making a donation through my fundraising page."
