It’s that magical time of year again when Davenport transforms into a full-blown Christmas dream, though not the Hallmark kind.

Deck the Halls (and Bars)

Picture this: 400 Santas marching down 2nd Street, singing “Jingle Bells” a little too loudly, and debating who has the best beard (real or not). That’s right, SantaCon Davenport is back for its sixth year on Saturday, December 13th, and it’s shaping up to be the jolliest bar crawl this side of the North Pole.

A Sea of Red Suits and Good Cheer

Every December, downtown Davenport becomes a merry mix of Santas, elves, reindeer, and that one person who always insists on dressing as a Christmas tree. It’s festive chaos in the best way possible. “SantaCon isn’t about competition or prizes,” organizers say. “It’s about letting go, dressing up, and having fun before the Midwest winter really kicks in.”

No Tickets, No Rules (Well, Sort Of)

The event is free and open to anyone 21 and older. There’s no registration—just show up in your most festive Santa gear and follow the red sea of Christmas spirit. The official route and participating bars will be announced closer to the date, but let’s be honest—if you can’t find the crowd, just listen for “Jingle Bell Rock” echoing through downtown.

Sleigh All Day

Expect DJs spinning holiday hits, strangers becoming fast friends, and more photo ops than your phone can handle. So if you see hundreds of Santas parading downtown, don’t panic—it’s not a Christmas takeover. It’s just the Quad Cities doing what it does best: finding laughter, community, and a good drink in the middle of winter.
